5 Ways to Build Your Faith in a Blissful Season

By the God’s grace, many of the seasons of our lives are blissful. As Christians, we continually have joy because it is a fruit of the Spirit of God (Galatians 5:22). Our joyful seasons can oftentimes make us forget to continue exercising our faith muscle. However, we are always to build our faith so that it can carry us throughout every season of life, even difficult seasons.

Below are 5 things you can do to continue building your faith in a blissful season.

1) Pray in the Holy Spirit

Jude 20 tells us to build ourselves up in our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit. When we pray in the power of God’s Spirit, we build our inner being and receive the empowerment we need for each day. The Spirit of God is our Helper, and He always knows how to help us grow in our faith.

2) Stay in alignment with the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 tells us, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” The Holy Spirit directs our steps and shows us what is to come. This means that we can anticipate the next season in our lives and/or know how to navigate a difficult one. Having the assurance that God is always with us by His Spirit builds our faith in unimaginable ways. There is nothing as comforting as knowing that no matter what God is with you always.

3) Declare God’s Word Over Your Life

God has promised that His Word will accomplish everything He desires (Isaiah 55:10). Since he is the one and only true promise keeper, when you declare Scriptures over every area of your life and begin seeing the fruit, it builds your faith. There is no greater joy than seeing God’s Word hard at work for you. In a blissful season, store up the Word of God in your heart and speak it whenever you need to. It builds your faith muscles and prepares you for every season of your life.

4) Teach Others God’s Word

We are to preach God’s Word in and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). When you teach others God’s Word, you get to know more of it yourself, and your faith grows as a result. Seeing others’ lives transform when you explain share God’s word with them is reassuring. Being a part of someone’s faith journey builds your own faith.

5) Praise God Daily

Psalm 1:6 says, “I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.” When you praise God daily, you powerfully experience His presence. Praise God for the prayers He has answered and the wonders He has worked in your life. Praising God builds your faith because you know that what He did in the past, He will do it again for you. It is always a joy knowing God will fulfill the desires of your heart.

Key Takeaway

When you take the time to build your faith even when all is going well, it makes you strong in spirit. You can face any situation that comes your way because your trust is in God alone.
